Jay Hait

Jay’s mission is to change the dynamic of the way people are represented and treated by their attorneys throughout the legal process.

He believes that family is the most important institution we have and does everything he can to protect his clients and their families no matter what their legal issues are.

Jay has been practicing law in the U.S. and Israel for over twenty years and is licensed in Israel and New York. He is also a licensed mediator.

He made Aliyah with his family in 2004 and maintained his Securities practice in New York, by flying back and forth between the two countries.

Unfortunately, Jay went through a divorce himself, with litigation in both the United States and Israel. He was eventually awarded custody of his three minor children and has since remarried.

His personal experience with the legal system in Israel, coupled with knowing there was a better way to navigate family law issues, was the impetus for opening a practice in Israel focusing exclusively on Family Law.

The primary focus of Jay’s firm was originally on representing clients in divorce. He has always assisted with wills and estates but then he saw through his own parents’ Aliyah experience that much more was needed to support those who were looking to protect their assets and lifestyle while planning their futures in Israel. So, Jay opened a new Elder Law Division of his Family Law Practice five years ago.

Jay’s patience and compassion along with his personal experience, extensive knowledge of Western Law, and deep understanding of the intricate Israeli Family Law system have given him a unique set of skills to help his clients through divorce or planning for retirement.
